This was probably my first ever Christmas where I was so sick. I lost my voice on Christmas day, and spent to much time going to the bathroom to take a piece of tissue and blow my nose so hard, my ears start hurting.

Was that graphic?

Anyway, I hope ya'll had a merry Christmas. I didn't get any gifts, but I don't feel that sad about it. My parents have given me plenty by giving me the thumbs up to go to Korea and Cambodia. Speaking of Cambodia, it was definitely an enriching experience. I felt that I've really bonded a lot with the GB girls and that I feel good doing a bit of my part to make children smile there. I miss the kids. We've met some pretty interesting kids throughout the trip and Yong and I even have our "own boys" called Oack Jan Ting and Leska.

It was so much fun, my nightly meeting with the sec 3s. I miss it, actually. I feel like I've gotten closer to some of them.

Okay, anyway, back to Singapore. I've officially moved in to my new house in Sengkang! SO I KNOW IT'S BLOODY FAR AWAY FROM EVERYTHING ELSE IN SINGAPORE BUT I LIKE THIS HOUSE, OKAY. It's spacious. Yay. And we own a pool table. Okay, so I suck at pool but at least I know how to play pool.

I'm guessing that my trip to school will be about 45 minutes each day. Le sigh.

Oh, and I'm taking french lessons starting from next year. Or german. I still haven't decided yet.

Also notice that I haven't been blogging a lot? Well, I dunno, it feels a bit of a chore nowadays. I don't even think a lot of people visit this old thing.

Anyway, I have completely accepted the fact that I'm going to be sec 4 next year. The mere idea used to make me pissed off but now, I think I'm okay with it.

Oh yeah! I've also started reading Harry Potter! I'm on the fourth book now, Goblet of Fire. I love Rowling's style of writing. It's quick-witted and it just feels like a giant jigsaw puzzle that fits. I really don't understand why Stephenie Meyer's being called "The New J.K. Rowling" when their styles of writing is worlds apart. I still love both their works though.

I love reading about the Quidditch games. And I love Fred and George Weasley. They're probably the most entertaining characters I've ever read about in a long time...

It's been a happy two days for me. You know why? Cos I've bought Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (my long-awaited sequel to the breathtaking Hunger Games) and I also bought the New Moon soundtrack!

The music keeps me really sober. Enough to make me feel a teeny bit depressed but it's what they call "beautifully haunting", I guess. Especially Possibility by Lykke Li and Satellite Heart by Anya Marina. I remember that Possibility was played during Bella's depression, the months going by as she watched through her window. Heart wrenching :(

I just finished Catching Fire and it was breathlessly amazing. Kept me on the edge of my seat and there were plenty of times I wanted to tear my hair out because it was just too suspenseful. There were lots of times too where I felt goosebumps on my skin. I can't describe the book really, all I know is that it is so amazing. But oh, the cliffhangers at the end! And now I have to wait for another year to the next book!

Okay, anyway, the next book I wanna read is The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa de la Cruz. It's the fourth book in the Blue Blood series. Yes, it's about vampires. I like vampires, big deal. The Blue Blood series is sort of like Underworld meets Gossip Girl. Though, I don't think there are any werewolves, like in Underworld.

I also wanna get started on the Harry Potter franchise! I know a lot of people think I've read it, but I haven't. I just know a lot of stuff about wizards, Horcruxes, Legilimency and the Harry Potter universe thanks to my good friend, Wikipedia. Okay, so I didn't like the movies so much, maybe that's why I tried to stay away from the books. Daniel Radcliffe does not look pretty in HP and the Order of the Phoenix. Haha.

I have rotten timing, don't I? Cos I'm probably gonna finish all of the books next year, 0-level year. =_=

celeb rant.
Ah, it's the first day of December!

While I am completely happy that we're getting nearer and nearer to Christmas, I am completely not happy over the fact that the holidays are ending in a month, I have not started on my homework and I am getting nearer to the start of Sec 4 life.

I think I now know why Earth is between Heaven and Hell.

Oh, and have I mentioned that I have already seen New Moon? I didn't?! Oh my!

NEW MOON WAS EFFIN' FANTASTIC. BUT OF COURSE, THIS IS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF A TEENAGED GIRL HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH ROB PATTINSON AND TAYLOR LAUTNER SO IN THE END, THE MOVIE WILL STILL BE AWESOME EVEN IF IT SUCKED.

And New Moon did not suck. It was spectacular.

And Taylor Lautner's abs were... HOLY MACKEREL IT'S PRACTICALLY ILLEGAL TO HAVE ABS LIKE THAT!

Major props to Rob Pattinson with his whole angsty Edward thing. I think it's sexy. But when he said goodbye to Bella, OHMYGOD my heart broke into a million pieces.

Not even exaggerating.

I left the cinema with full intention to watch New Moon again. Too bad I'm a little tight on cash now.

Anyway, my holidays have been somewhat good. I've spent a lot of time with Dorna (I've been freeloading her condo pass and pool and gym), bonded with a lot of people like Bhavna and Joanne.

I told Joanne this when we sat down at LJS @ Plaza Singapura for nearly 3 hours just talking: If you asked me last year if I were ever to hang out with Joanne Lee bonding and sharing our deepest darkest thoughts (ahem), I would've just look at you as if you've grown another head.

Saw Sarah Yim again and yeah, shocking isn't it? Little ol' Nadine hanging out with Sarah Yim? Impossible. Hell has frozen over.

But I think she's an ok person. It's just that we do completely different things and our mindsets are worlds apart.

I've also been talking a lot to Bhavna, bonding over New Moon and its cast. Btw, whattheheck! Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift cannot be freakin' dating! I think it's weird! And please Taylor, don't cross over to the dark (DISNEY) side!

Imagine this:

Lautner: Hey Taylor, wanna hang out?
Swift: Sure thing Taylor! Can we go to the Jonas Brothers' concert? I wanna show you off to he-who-must-not-be-named and totally show him that I am dateable and that he should totally regret dumping me over the phone, in 35 seconds. And to show that I am over him!
Lautner: Erm... sure thing, Taylor.
Swift: Oh, and do you have man heels? I'm just too tall, that's why. TEE-HEE.

JEEZ.

OH AND IF SWIFT MARRIES LAUTNER, SHE'LL CHANGE HER LAST NAME TO LAUTNER AND...

BOTH THEIR NAMES WILL BE TAYLOR LAUTNER. HOW HILARIOUS IS THAT?!

I like Taylor (Swift)'s songs as much as the next person but it's awkward having this link between Twilight and Disney. SO PLEASE HELL NO.

Ok, end of rant.
