Lucky number 14?
It's 9.35 in the evening, where I'm supposed to be studying for my History test for tomorrow or at least finish the four damn Algebra questions which killed so many of my brain cells.

I just kept staring at the question, trying to work it out but couldn't T_T

Well, I'll be turning 14 in 2 and a half hours. Haha, should I be excited? I've never really seen or felt any difference when I'm officially another year older... Maybe we mature in our behaviour? Maybe that's my case, since I haven't seen any change physically. I haven't grown taller or anything, so yeah...

Man, it sucks being stuck at 157cm.

So, while I'm typing my post here, a thought suddenly came to mind.

If birthdays are supposed to be this big thing where you remember the day you were born, isn't there supposed to be very significant about it? Like, something that can change your life, since I don't really feel any difference.

Er, yeah. So I might be a bit exaggerating. It's not like, terrorism will disappear or something like that on your birthday.

Maybe I'm just dreaming too much. HA.

Well, I finally got to read some of Perfect! OMG, Sarah Leong told me that *SPOILER!* Spencer killed Alison!

OMG. I LOVE PRETTY LITTLE LIARS.

And I still have Heroes season 2 to look forward tooooooo~~~

Also, had a fun time with Jieying and Clara today at J8. Took photos with L too! LOL. Then made it on time for my check-up...

Sigh. I still need to improve my Maths. And Science.

To prove Nicholas Lim, that idiot, wrong. I have my pride, okay. He tells me my Maths and Science suck and I am sooo going to prove him wrong.

Wow, notice how fast I can change topics? o_o

Crown me queen of changing topics. LOL.

half full, half empty.
Addicted to the song 24, by Jem.

I've been looking for this song for months when I first heard it on an Ultraviolet trailer, but didn't know the song title soooo... wasn't able to get it =____=

Didn't like home econs today. I suddenly felt so new at cooking once again. Our Shepard's Pie didn't look so nice, cause the ovens at the food lab went short-circuit, but it was still baked. It just didn't have that "excellently baked till golden brown" look.

OHMYGAWD, SHARON I LOVE YOU~!!!!

SHARON LAM GAVE ME THE LINK TO SEASON 2 OF HEROES!

KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!!

OMG, I'M HYPERVENTILATING NOW.

I SHALL WATCH NOWWWWWW~!!!

Bright!!
Damn, previous blogskin was so cute but it was too bright...

Gah, my eyes. I only noticed now that I turned the brightness of my computer screen down low even before I used that skin.

Let's see... What happened today?

The water from my water bottle spilled while I was walking to school this morning. I didn't even notice it until I opened my bag, which was right before we were commanded to go to the hall for morning assembly. I officially hate my water bottle! I'm so gonna throw it away.

Don't worry, it's not branded. =_=

Sooooo, now my English resource book, science textbook, file, and everything else in my bag for today is wet. Including one of my library books.

Worse still, the due date for it is tomorrow.

Even worse news?

I tried my luck in returning it today, still partially wet.

Smart, huh?

Then, when me, Manju, Huiting and Yong went to the fourth floor for us to start book-hunting... (actually, it was only me and Manju who were actually book-hunting) the librarian made an announcement over the PA.

"*insert poor pronunciation of my name here*, please come over to the counter now."

OhmyGawd, I started LOL-ing. I have no idea why but it suddenly seemed incredibly funny, man. Yeah, I'm sadistic.

So the four of us made our way back to the first floor, heading to the counter. The librarian started asking me why the book was wet, yada-yada-yada.

And that I have to pay 23 bucks for the "damages" done. By Cashcard or by NETS.

Why not cash?? What's wrong with paying with cash?!?

Hah, still, this was so funny though, it deserves to be remembered forevah.

Oh yeah, also saw Ashiqin at the library! Finally, got her new number. Dammit woman, you made me wait for months till I can contact you?!

:P

Sunday Morning, sun is shining...
I just remembered Rachel telling some of the GB girls yesterday that MOE banned the duck-and-frog walk in their PE curriculum.

o_o

WTF? We should report it!

I mean, that exercise plus the 2.4 run gave me 3 whole days of leg pain! That's not exercise, that's torture.

Hey, I'm not soft, okay? I'm steady :D

LOL. Anyways, was watching videos on YouTube when I saw a music video of Coldplay's "The Scientist". This song rocks, I tell you. A bit melancholic but it's really, really nice.

Second thing... Veno, how the heck do you know where to find TV shows on the 'net?! I can't even find any on YouTube except for my anime!

Still, I love you :D

And Manju, thanks for the Perfect - Pretty Little Liars book excerpts! I love you people...

Oh yeah, my computer came back to life yesterday. I don't have to play GE on this crappy computer. One hour of gaming, poof! Overheat, liao.

Well, Brisa's officially moved now. Oh man, it was really sad actually. I heard her play the piano during LSA, Somewhere over the Rainbow.

Instead of it being a hopeful song, it made me really, really sad. She was leaving, migrating to somewhere halfway across the world. Although I've only known you for one year, it was really fun being with you. I remember all the times I listened to you play the piano, and it always made me smile. Even though I know very little about you, I really appreciate all the times that you accompanied me during all the Foreigners' meetings and events. I remembered playing with the sparklers with you during that Mooncake Festival dinner at the school roof...

I also read Clara's post about Brisa leaving. It made me all teary.

Well, in a couple of months, it would be Clara's turn to leave. I would most likely cry for hours. And everytime she'll pass through my mind, I'll go teary.

Damn. The good people are leaving while the bad ones still stay. Why can't Nicholas Lim move to Afghanistan or something? I wouldn't shed even one single tear drop on him. I would most probably jump for joy and scream my lungs out, "NICHOLAS LIM, YOU'RE GONE! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Did you know? Last Friday was Prize-giving, he was sitting beside me and he kept bugging me to tell him my percentage. And so, I did lah. He was getting bloody annoying.

"Aiyah, you beat me by only one percent! Nevermind lah, your maths and science suck."

I. HATE. YOU. NICHOLAS. LIM. YOU. FUCKING. BASTARD.

And my maths and science do not suck.

Then, there was another girl sitting beside him who was part of his CCA, Npcdcc or something like that. He kept complaining to her that their sec ones suck because they don't know drill. They're sec ones, you bastard. They don't know drill because Primary School doesn't teach drill unless you were in a uniformed group in Primary School. And that they're "very annoying leh, they talk so much."

That's called hyper-ism. You don't have it so don't blame other people who are hyper just because you aren't one.

Even Janelle (who sat two seats from him, next to his CCA-mate) thinks he's damn annoying. And he kept showing off his marks to his CCA-mate.

Burn in hell, Nicholas Lim!!!!!!!

Heroes Geek.
I'm in love with Heroes. It's freaking awesome, I tell you.

I was surfing YouTube when I found this really cool Heroes tribute. It rocks.

Anyone have the Heroes Season 1 DVD? I'm desperate for it!

Anyways, GB was kinda fun today. The whole company went bowling. I was completely new to it so I wasn't any good at it. Still, it was fun. Ms Foo told us in the bus this morning that they're planning an overseas trip for GB~! I vote for Japan!!

And I'm still Heroes-obsessed. LOL. I agree with Manju now. Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia are the cutest couple evah! Hehehehehehehe...

Tiring.
Yesterday Mr Lai made us do this Duck and Frog exercise till my legs felt like it wanted to die.

Then today, we had to run 2.4km.

I can't squat down without groaning in pain!

Today had maths test. Five questions, 30 minutes. First question was ok-ok, but then when I read the second question...

Die liao.

Thanks to Denise for the early birthday present! Famous Amos cookies! ILY, Denise!

The Halcyon Days.
I love MRT rides with Sharon.

She's the person who gives me advice when I'm in need of a "make sense of life" dose. Sharon, I love you =D

PE was sucky today. I didn't make it to the other end of the hall in 8 standing broad jumps so I had to do 5 push-ups. Eeeyah, it's that time of the month lah, teacher.

But yeah, I suck at standing broad jump. Just goes to show that I have short, fat legs.

Or maybe it's because of my leg bone structure. If you're EXTREMELY observant enough, you'll notice what's wrong with the structure of my legs. No, I don't mean it's just fat. I meant the bone structure, dumbass.

Gaaah, health screening again. Then later the whole cahoots about my spine from the nurses and doctors. Then need to see doctor again. Aiyah. Troublesome.

Let's see. Let's make something productive in this post, shall we?

I'm going to make an extremely late New Year Resolution list.

Nadine's (extremely late) New Year Resolution List.
  1. I'm going to study more for exams and tests. Not just study one day before the actual test.
  2. I will work hard to go to the triple science and double maths stream next year.
  3. I will appreciate, and be nicer to, my family. Especially to my little (annoying) brother.
  4. I will provoke my parents less when they're angry.
  5. I will learn a new skill this year. Guitar? Dancing lessons? Learn intermediate Japanese? Time will tell.
  6. I will share my problems with someone else. I won't keep them just to myself anymore.
  7. I will buy birthday presents to all my closest friends this year, no matter how much they might've pissed me off last time or whether or not they bought presents for me for my own birthday.
  8. I will have more patience with people, and I will not easily be angered and then keep that anger to just to myself.
  9. I will take better care of my health and appearance.
  10. I will take better care of the blemishes on my face.
  11. I will fantasize less of acquiring superpowers like those guys from Heroes. (Damn, this might be a bit hard.)
  12. I will read more.
  13. I will reach level 100 - Veteran by end of this year in Granado Espada.
  14. I will be less shy and coy this year. If I want to say something, I will say it.
  15. I will maintain my weight to about 50kg or less.
  16. I will convince at least one person to play GE this year, provided that they be at the same server as I.

Peektyurs.
Some pics from Friday, when I met Fauziyah and Dorna

Monday, the beginning of the end.
It's Monday again.

Sigh, Monday blues.

Ms Lau didn't come for Science again. Today was ok, I guess. A bit boring though. Nothing much happened.

Maths - So many homework! Then there's a test this week, and another History test next week. Structured questions! GAAAAAAH!

This is kinda lame but I think I've finally realized what's wrong with me the whole week. I've been to shallow, that's why.

I shall not care about what other people will think about me. They won't have any power to control me, or change my life. I'm the one who leads my own life and I don't have to care about what everyone else thinks.

If people think I'm a nerd, then let them.

If people think I'm a push-over, then let them.

If people think I'm easily overpowered, then let them.

It doesn't mean that I am all these things just because someone says so. It didn't come from my own mouth so why should you believe them?

Or is it the way I dress? The way I walk? Where I come from or what I'm doing?

Then who the hell are other people to judge me? I'm my ownself. I don't belong to any human. I will not be intimidated by other people just because what, they're more popular than me? They belong here more than me? They're not as insignificant as me?

Think again.

Wake up and smell the daisies. Whether they're dead or not.
Gah.

Been so freaking moody this days. One moment I'm so freaking happy then the next moment, I'm freaking annoyed.

Well, today, I forgot all my emo-ness from yesterday. Dunno what made me feel like that, probably one of those moments where you completely remember every single bad thing that happened during the week then the next moment you feel like screaming someone's head off?

Yeah, probably one of those moments.

Let's see. Bad things that happened during this week...

Crap. Too many to remember.

I hate school. I love my seeing my friends but the idea of going to school just disgusts me. Nevermind that five days a week (now six, 'cause of GB) I have to see that building where "learning takes place".

Don't make me barf.

GB has been so-so. We had a handful of sec ones coming in for the trial but I'm kinda scared. What if no one wants to join GB?! NOOOOOO~!

But yeah, GB has been kinda boring (OMG, I never knew how painful it is to type this words). I hate the fact that we're doing extremely noob-ish drill. Stationary drill, some more. Standing under the sun, only turning right, left or 180 degrees or taking dressing. It's boring, but some of the other girls from my batch (probably me included) still can't get some things right. Like bending the knee 90 degrees or maybe doing a command before the staff sergeant finished saying the command. (Er, more like shout?)

Don't get me wrong here, people. I love GB to bits till the day I die but lately, it's been, uh, uneventful. =_______=

Lately, I've been playing less GE. Cuz I have no more time left! It's frustrating! My main team is only level 67!

Main team : Nadeshiko (fighter : melee attacks), Elyon (elementalist : magical elemental damage) and Justin (scout : healer)

Okay, my highest team is 80+ lah, but I don't use that team as often as my main!

GE is a part of my life. You don't like it, then STFU and leave.

Watched Heroes all day today. LOL. Star world had a Heroes weekend marathon. Glad to say that I've fallen in love with this TV show again!! I want Eden McCain's powers! Persuasion. Make people do what you want them to do. Mwahahahahahahahaha.

Actually, I'd want any of their powers. I'm too bored with life, needing something exciting =_______=

If only my life didn't have to be so boring. Things are so damn predictable and constant, it's as if I have a time table for life.

Please, I'm not that much of a "good girl", you jerks.

Life is...
Life.

Is.

A.

Bitch.

I hate it now. It just took 2 minutes to listen to my friend's problems and then I suddenly realized that her problems were similar to mine. Then suddenly I'm now pissed off. CRAP.

Don't comment.

Friday fantastic.
Long time since I last blogged, huh? Honestly, I didn't really care.

Well, school has been so-so, with some interesting happenings here and there, but they're not really that memorable since I can hardly remember any. There's still one thing that pisses me off about school though. The boys with their more-then-necessary idiocy.

Idiots.

Well, a couple of korean students went to our school for an exchange program. We didn't have any joining our class so I didn't care about it once more. But the good thing is that there's a school trip to Korea this June, and I'm hoping I could go. The only thing I don't have is the money -____-

Met Fauziyah and Dorna today! Man, I miss these people~! Had fun, even though we mostly just talked and took pics. LOL. They made me really miss primary school! And back when I was 10 years old or something! I had some of my bestest best memories there!

Today at chapel, they asked us "what do you want to change in yourself" or something like that. I know what you're thinking. OHMYGAWD, Nadine's such a nerd that she actually reflects on what they ask in Chapel!

Well, if I had to change my life, then I would surely do so =___=

Maybe I could change my life with Hayden Panetierre. LOL. Or maybe I'd want to be Uma Thurman. Her role in Kill Bill was so kick-ass that I feel like I want to cosplay her or something...

HAH.

I miss Veno, dammit. I need her listening ear.

Because a particular group of people just pissed me off.

Why, why the heck...
OMG. Today was blurry.

Blurry sounds like McFlurry. Bwahahahaha.

Got sick with the flu! DAMN! Then the medicine the doctor gave me was strong stuff! I mean, after I swallowed down the pills, brushed my teeth and laid on the bed, I fell asleep in less than 10 seconds! Amazing, huh?

Then I couldn't even wake up this morning. My mother had to take a spare key and open the door to my room to shake me till I woke up even if my alarm was on auto-snooze. And KCPSS started silent reading this year. Ei, our bags are already heavy then they still force us to bring storybooks. Nice people, the staff.

I forgot my specs today too! Eck. But good thing is that for our PE this semester, we're going to play badminton! WOOT!

But come to think about it, I haven't played in months. I will most probably suck at it though :x

After school, ate with Jieying, Geok Ting and Huanqing (er, was this really her name? I can't remember...) at Yoshinoya.. Amariah still thinks that my "friend" who works there will give me free food again.. LOL. Nah, I don't think he'll do that anymore, Ay Ning...

EEEEEYAAAHHH. I'm terrible with remembering names and faces! I probably couldn't remember someone's name I've only just met even if it's in a life or death situation! How pathetic can I get?

Then went with Amariah and Manju to borrow books~! I borrowed this book called "Secrets of my Hollywood Life" by Jen Calonita and it rocks.. Surprisingly, the content of the book isn't as bimbo as the title sounds :P Sorry, but I'm the type of person who judges a book by it's cover and title. Literally.

But the coolest thing about it is that it has a character named Nadine! LOL!

And she's a red-headed, 23-year old publicist who aims to be a businesswoman. THAT IS SO EFFIN' COOL. I wish I can be like her. MWAHAHA.

Although, I don't think red hair would suit me, even though I'm jealous of people with red hair. Like Nicole Kidman on Moulin Rouge...

Although not so much on Lindsay Lohan. EW.

New year, new class... and what else is gonna be new?
This is officially my first post in 2008! Haha, I might be a bit lame in saying that but there're "meaning" in it, alright?

Right.

Well, a whole lot of changes you know.. Three girls gone from 2-Truth while two guys joined us.. Brisa's leaving for some Carribean island that I forgot the name of (damn! the carribeans!) and I'm officially a Lance Corporal!

WHOOT! Life can be so sweet!

NCO skirt, NCO skirt! I won't need to wear the ugly KCPSS skirt for GB meetings anymore!

Which brings us to the topic of school. YUCK. I love the fact that I get to see my friends and the amusement our teachers give us but I'm soooo missing slacking! I can feel the pressure already in just three days of school, man! And I'm still in holiday-mode!

Yesterday was CCA recruitment day and some of the sec ones were a pain in the ass. Me and some of the GB girls came up to the sec one girls and some of them were nice and all but there was this one group who were being a b*tch to us. One of them even dared to tell us "Give me 100 reasons why I should join GB".

Huiting replied by saying "Give me 100 reasons why you shouldn't join GB.."

And that bloody annoying girl said "Because I don't want to join, times hundred."

I had to hide behind Yong to stop myself from saying BITCHES straight to their faces. Burn in hell, you freaks.

Well, forget about them. We don't need any bitches in GB either.

Today's meeting was interesting.. The sec 2s (woah, I have to start getting used to getting called sec 2..) learned some basic drill like commands for turning right and left and taking dressing.. While the upper sec looked so damn pro doing their drill while we looked like newbies. LOL.

Well, we're somewhat newbies to drill, really.

But man, I feel very tired this week. School probably sucked the life out of me already. I mean, I don't even have energy for anything else except to nag in this blog.

Positive Things about 2008 so far:

  • 2-Truth teachers! Lol, they're funny. And most of them actually can catch my extremely short attention span. Looks like I might be looking forward to History because of Mr Marican, lol.
  • NCO skirts!
  • Lance Corporal rank! WHOOT!
  • I'm turning 14.. wakakakakaka~!

Negative Things about 2008 so far:

  • Whatthehell, Nicholas Lim is still alive?
  • Streaming. DUN DUN DUN DUN.
  • Clara leaving! OMG, NOOOOOOOO~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man.. tired. I lost my voice this afternoon. Thanks to all the cheering and shouting we had to do yesterday. LOL. And I probably drank more water today than I ever did in my whole life..
