A little trip to Orchard road, minus the spending and lavishness.
Went to Orchard to meet my mom. And somehow, she actually agreed to let me buy contacts! Whoo!Last year, when I even mentioned the words "I want contacts", she'll say something like "when you're older, when you're older". Woah, does this mean I look growned-up in her eyes now? Or maybe she just got annoyed when I asked her too many times. Damn shiok! Seeing clearly without specs! So, walked around Orchard alone, since my mom had to get back to work. Princess Diaries 9 is out and Meg Cabot says it'll be the second last book in the series. Sob. Mia and J.P forevah! Walked around Takashimaya, saw all the branded stores and suddenly felt like I was a misplaced, pennyless, not-nearly-as-fabulous-as-Serena-and-Blair character from Gossip Girl. Ahh, the wonders of imagination. Stella McCartney, Chanel, Burberry. Pretty pretty clothes at sky-high prices. Ahh, the wonders of human greed combined with creativity. School was kinda entertaining today too. Mr Xavier, our relief maths teacher, was leaving today but he said that our class was the most "fun class" he taught. Ha! Of course, Yong, being her daring self, asked him some pretty embarrasing questions. Yeah, I don't think he'll be able to forget us now! During MT, camwhored with Bhavna. LOL. I'm not going to post the pics here though! I looked faaat. And we got our lanyards! We are now complete, official Lance Corporals! Short and boring post for today. Full of random stuff here and there but as usual, my memory's failing me. Oh, and yes. I need to lose weight. I won't believe anyone who'll say "You look okay, lah," unless I see the results for myself... Must get rid of baby fat! Wish me luck. HA! the end of the rainbow, the end of the day.
OhMyGawd, I'm going to finish the Gossip Girl books soon. I've just borrowed books 8-10 and now, I've only got the 11th book and prequel left. YAY!At first, I didn't see book 8 at the Bishan library but when I went over to the one at Toa Payoh, we'll, I got lucky. ^_^ I got even luckier when I saw Cecily von Ziegesar's Notorious book, the second book in the 'It Girl' series at Bishan! Whoot. Soooo, that's four books. And I've borrowed all four of them. Maximum number of books I could borrow is 4. But then, when I went over to the 'C' section, hoping to find the 8th book in the Princess Diaries series (which I didn't), I saw Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood. OMGWTF. I didn't even know there was a fourth book when this is one of my favourite series too! Waaaah. But I couldn't borrow it anyways. Sigh. Hopefully, it'll still be there when I return one of the gossip girl books when me and Manju are done reading it. Well, change of topic. Normally I hate Mondays, since it's like, the sign that another 5 days of work, school or blahblahblah is coming. But today was kind of interesting, really. Why, you ask? (Or maybe you're not even asking at all but you're just reading through this whole post blindly...) We've started on chapter 5 of Science! Sexual reproduction, whoot whoot! You can expect that plenty of laughs were heard in our little science classroom. This was definitely the first ever science lesson in 2008 that I didn't have the urge to sleep in! Good job, me! LOL. And we watched these really, really sad short films during english class. Let's just say that I might try to respect and appreciate my family more... Line of the day : "Ei, don't get 'sex-cited, ah!'" - Miss Lau (sp?), my science teacher. Geddit? Excited, s-excited? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I couldn't find New York!
Sigh, I couldn't find a New York blogskin. Yes, I'm taking Gossip Girl way, way too far. I've made Gossip Girl MSN icons, made my MSN display name link to GG and now I wanted a New York blogskin, the place where Gossip Girl begins and ends. Hey, I lose interest quickly but if I'm interested, I'm definitely going to be all about it. If you get my logic. Ha. Anyways, after hours of blogskin searching (while watching Gossip Girl episodes at the same time. Whoo, multi-tasking!), I stumbled upon this little London blogskin which looked so chic, I couldn't resist using it... Welcome to London, my little dahlings. Hmm, next trip. Paris, New York, Tokyo? Possibilities, possibilites, possibilities. Watching VH1 now. VH1 r-o-c-k-s. And so does MIKA! I can't stop listening to his songs ~ ! It's so f-u-nky.
XOXO.
It's Sunday morning and I haven't done any school work since yesterday. We should have more of these days! February's going to end soon. So fast, don't you think? It feels just like yesterday that we were complaining on New Year's Day that we'll have school the following day. Then next week, March is officially going to start. I'm still obsessed with Gossip Girl though! Five more books till I completely finish the series. Then I'll be off watching the TV series! Suh-weet. Due to an overdose of complete boredom, I made these totally lame ugly Gossip Girl icons. I'll be using it as my MSN display pic but if you want to use it too then go ahead. Let's join forces and be GG worshippers! Whoo! Philosophical stuff can be so pointless, sometimes.
It's funny. A couple of days ago, I was complaining and whining that this week was going to be hell because there were too many tests that my poor brain can handle. Now that the week is over, I didn't really think I was that pressured to the point that it was suicidal. We learned new stuff during lessons of course, while still trying to remember the old topics so that we could at least pass the tests that are bound to come soon. But yeah, it wasn't as if like, we were slowly dying or something. Now I feel kind of stupid for whining too much even before we sat for the tests. And now that I think of it, I whine too much in general. And that I sometimes assume the worst of things. That my goals aren't as clear as they ought to be. And that sometimes, when I do keep a goal in mind, I don't actually do anything to go farther in reaching that goal. Don't you just hate when that happens? YUCK.
Today sucked. We (the sec 2s) found out that we have E-learning three days before the March holidays. Or was it during the March holidays?Whatever. All I know is that e-learning sucks. Hours and hours on the computer watching videos of ... educational stuff. *SHUDDERS* Huiting didn't come to school today 'cause of fever and sore throat. Lucky her, she didn't get to run 2.4km for PE. Another reason why this day sucked is that Mr Lai made the starting point way, way before the actual spot where were normally supposed to start. And one of the checkpoints was farther than usual! I failed. Harharhar. As if I bloody care. Or am I just spewing out excuses? As if I bloody care. Science test tomorrow, new maths chapter melted my brain off and the homework's completely going to melt away what's left of my brain. And damn! I wanted to watch Gossip Girl today! You're wondering why, 'you got so much homework then why you still blogging??' Hmm, I think I'm crazy about blogging. Heh. Gossip, Scandal, Betrayal. It's a delicious life.
I'm going gaga over Gossip Girl.I can't wait till I finish this series and see what's gonna happen next. I'm already on the fourth book! HAH. Manju's been watching the TV series while poor old geeky me was stuck reading the books only... But I did a little research on the TV series and it said that it's a whole lot different from the books. But heck, I know the link for the series already and it won't take long for me to start watching it...
Carrie Underwood is dating this gorgeous, gorgeous guy. That lucky The guy playing Chuck Bass is kinda hot too, despite his character being an asshole in the book. In the TV series though, he's less of an asshole. I think... Since he's actually dating Blair. Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass. No, he does NOT look gay in this pic. He's got a british accent in real life to boot! HA! Can you see those eyes of his too? It's like, he's looking directly at you, and only you... As if you're the only one in his mind... and that he wants to be only with you~ WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I should have "hopeless romantic" stamped on my forehead! Haha! Why can't more guys be as hot as them?! Everywhere I look, it's full of geeky, nerdy guys who are too busy with their own stupidity to ask a girl out and take her for a romantic date. Or maybe they scare off girls cause they're "fugly", as Yong would say... I should so totally migrate to America or something =______= Or maybe go back to Germany =______= Hehe. Maybe those are one of the things that come and go in the middle of our journey...
Finally, after so many weeks of GB meetings, today was truly fun.At first I thought it wouldn't be, since devotion was kinda draggy and long and there was this ang moh from America who talked to us. It was interesting in some parts but it still felt long. Anyways, he said some pretty interesting stuff about God and the bible which I never knew before. It's kinda refreshing to know. I felt kind of guilty that I've been sulking away thinking that all my problems and stress from the weeks before are my own and my own only, that I shouldn't share them with someone else because there wouldn't be any difference. I feel guilty for not praying and sharing with God when He's the one who probably cares the most about our well-being. I'm not the most religious person in the world but it sorta feels comforting that He's out there looking out for us, and He understands every little thing that we might feel. Anyways, drill was fun as well. We learned more new stuff! But I don't think I was any good at it, but I'll try harder, I guess. My contigent did our drill in front of the glass wall of the LPPC hall, so we finally saw how we looked like. I lol-ed at myself. The games were the best! Miss Jasmine Tan and Miss Foo went to my squad since there was very little people that came today in my squad. It was so funny! One game was like, we all sat down, linked our legs so that we formed a 'caterpillar' and then we had to drag our butts across the floor and make a number 8 shape! LOL, it was so damn funny especially with Ms Tan and Ms Foo! We were laughing all the way...! Okay, even if Ms Tan will torture us for ATC this year, I guess I'll somehow find a way to forgive her. Then after GB, me, Manju, Huiting, Denise, Jieying and Felicia ordered take away and ate at our special spot again. After eating we fooled around. A LOT. I love these, guys! But Yong missed all the fun. Hum. GB felt more alive than it ever did for this year. And it made me really, really happy... Love shall conquer all. Unless hate conquers first. (Warning : Lotsa swearing.)
Pics taken on Valentine's day :D None of us six had any boyfriends so we celebrated the occasion with each other instead. We had a little picnic somewhere in J8 with Haagen-Dazs ice-cream (Cookies 'n Cream and Macadamia Nut Brittle! YUM!), Doritos, Wintermelon tea and Pepsi~ Who said we had to waste Valentine's day just because we don't have any boyfriends. Ha. Today, Friday, sucked. There was history test, which I bet no one in my class finished in time. Aiyah, fuck all the "reading between the lines" for source-based questions. Fuck the time limit. Fuck the not-understandable sources. Fuck the "there's too much to write about but they don't give us enough time!" scenario. There's something about today that makes me pissed off for some reason. It's not just the history test but something else and I can't really put my finger on what it is... It's like, on the tip of my tongue or something. My brother's been annoying as hell today too. He wants to watch D. Gray-man on freaking YouTube when he's already recorded the episodes on the freaking TV. I swear, I screamed so loud at him for being selfish and inconsiderate that I'm amazed I still have my voice. Hopefully I won't lose it tomorrow. There's this person in school too who's been acting as if I don't exist even though we're supposed to be "close". Jieying was right about her. I just didn't want to believe her at first because I was on friendly terms with that person for a long time. Technically, I think she's trying to ignore, or maybe even hate, me on purpose. What the fuck did I ever do to her? Is this even on the same category as backstabbing? I really shouldn't even care. Heh, whatever. She'll live her life, I'll live mine. Who cares lah. This is just one of my troubles. I can't fucking understand anything in science anymore thanks to our oh-so-great science teacher, there's so much fucking homework, I'm broke and I can't seem to get rid of all these negative energy about schoolwork when it's always about competition, especially with some people. I've got grades to keep up which I'm barely coping with and I don't even have the attention span or time to do my work. Some more, I'm feeling negative energy about my CCA, too. Somehow, GB doesn't have any sparks radiating off of it lately. Our meetings have been all completely predictable and boring as hell. And I think we're even losing our 'family spirit'. Or maybe I'm losing faith in it too quickly. Next week is going to be hectic. English, maths, science tests. Marican said he wants to give us another freaking history test next week too.
I. WILL. NOT. CRACK. UNDER. THE. PRESSURE. Ayumi-sama is the greatest.
I LOVE CLARA SIM OF 2-LOVE FOR GETTING ME AYUMI HAMASAKI'S LATEST ALBUM, GUILTY!!!Oh my God, you have no idea how much I've been waiting for this album. What's more is that there's a DVD included in the package so I can watch Ayumi-sama's music videos without having to go to YouTube! YAY. Best birthday present evah. Even though it was a tad late, but no worries. You're forgiven, Clara! :D Ayumi's gonna have an Asian tour this year~! Please come to Singapore, Ayumi!! I'll do anything in my power just to get to see you live! But the concert better be before June or else Clara won't be able to go! Yikes. Ayumi!!! PLEASE INCLUDE SINGAPORE IN YOUR ASIAN TOUR~! I'LL BE THE HAPPIEST PERSON ALIVE (unless Clara can achieve the same level of overjoyness as me...) IF YOU PERFORM HERE IN SINGAPORE!! Speaking of concerts, guess who managed to score tickets to the Maroon 5 concert this March... :D what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Hm?
Err, I'm sick again.Fever, migraine, cough. And worse still, the fever's on-and-off. It can be freakishly high right now but then two hours later, my temperature will be normal again. Need... rest... The Midnight Sun.
I just finished watching a Song to the Sun (Taiyou no Uta)!!It made me cry! This movie shall forever be one of my favourites. Clara, if you're reading this, please watch it too! YUI's the main character! CLICK HERE CLICK HERE CLICK HERE TO WATCH!! It's gonna be one of the best 2-hours of your life, watching this movie. Btw, it's in Japanese with English subtitles. =D Must watch! And I've started watching anime and reading manga again ^_^ Lately I've been treating Cruchyroll.com like my haven. Ha. I'm still the CLAMP fan, reading Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC (no, it's not porn. In Japan, 'xxx' means "_____" which means, blanks.) Both of them don't have any anime series as of now, so I'm just reading the manga. They look nicer there, anyways. And I've started watching this series called CLANNAD. It's nice, funny, light-hearted but I think the series will get more suspensful sooner or later. I'm still watching the second episode as I'm typing this. Hell, the girls can kick the guys' asses, which makes it a good enough anime for me to watch. ^_^ But it's kinda cute too, and funny =D CLANNAD IS JUST A CLICK AWAY... Nadine ; Anime Freak and "anything-Japanese-obsessed" once again. Be proud, Clara Sim! Haha. Which one are you?

Nadine is now a reborn anime freak.Nadine is now a reborn Granado Espada freak. Nadine is now a reborn loser who lost her specs at her own house. Nadine is now a reborn procrastinator who still haven't done anything productive since CNY started. Nadine is now a reborn hyprocrite who keeps saying to herself that she will lose weight, but haven't done so yet. Thatisall, thankyou. Red is so totally in right now.
Happy Chinese New Year, yo!The song, Gong Xi Gong Xi keeps playing in my head. Make it go awaaaayyy! Well, to all those who celebrated, make lotsa lotsa money from all those red packets! So that you can treat Nadine to free lunch and the sort. Mwahaha. Just kidding... I played sports today. Played badminton and cycled around Toa Payoh. Which reminds me. It was exactly 4 years ago that I first learned how to cycle! HA! Manju just smsed me that Juno will be NC-16 in Singapore. (Click here if you have no idea what Juno is.) Manju even commented that maybe a few years from now, they'll make movies NC-16 just because someone says the word "shit". Wow, how nice. That was sarcasm, thankyouverymuch. I'll tell you the most interesting thing that happened today. My brother was going through his science book when he saw the word atom. My mom then asked him what an atom was after he finished studying. My mom : What's an atom? My brother : The thing that comes before winter? Me and my Mom : *laughing so hard* Atom, autumn. Geddit? LLLOOOOOOLLLL!!! I might have ego problems like what Yong and Manju said.
Like the title said. I looked way haggard after coming home seeing my lips so pale and the hair near my hair line so curly.Maybe I'm becoming more vain. Hmmm... Today was CNY celebrations. It was pretty eventful I guess. Or maybe it's just that there's no such thing as a boring occasion when you're in my class. :D Huiting almost didn't wear her home clothes to for school today. I had to push her to the toilet to convince her to change. Which she eventually did. Mwahaha. We made lanterns! And I think mine sucked because I have completely no idea on how to make one. Still, I got help from my friends :D Then after the lantern making, we camwhored! Whoot. Yong and Manju kept saying that I have ego problems whenever I said "I feel like taking photos,". BAH. It's one of my dreams to be a professional photographer someday, okaaay. And these are precious memories that I fortunately managed to take a photo of. Ha, take that. The letters above my head says it all... Is it me or does my face look huge? Huiting, as chio as ever. Amariah, as cute as ever. No, I'm not kidding. That's Ms Chye at the back. LOL. Yong, look at the camera! I'm jealous of Sharon apple red bag! The light brown one is mine... Boring colour. Then after school was over, I met my primary school friends! Whoo. Ashiqin, Fauziyah, Pooja, Rauzanah, Dorna, El Suraya, Syahindah, I missed you all, you adorable, lovable little freaks. And I mean that in a good way. Don't go throwing forks and knives at me now, dearies. Group photo, courtesy of Syahindah. Then we went to FTPPS. Then saw Aaron Chang. Why so shy all of a sudden? ^_^v Met Ms Chia again! I think we spent one hour talking to her, more or less. She treated us to drinks though. And she gave us this cornflake thingy covered in chocolate. Niceeee. Talked, talked and talked till we had to say bye-bye and go home. Then I saw my lips were damn pale and that the hair around my hairline was damn curly. YUCK. I hate myself sometimes. Actually, saw Veno today too! Yay, Veno! And Manju, please don't get freaked out by what happened today. Fate just suddenly wanted you three to meet, okays? This is definitely photo of the day. Yeah, yeah. Most of this photos have my face on it. I can be egotistical when the occasion's right. HAH. Hey wait. After looking through all these photos... Crap. I need to lose weight. But I don't like runniiiinnnngggg!! Imperfections bind this world closer. Miscommunication tears it apart.
I love catchy titles. BWAHAHA.I was on the same bus as Thenappan today! He was like, looking around, then he saw me, squinted and o_o I laughed, and he laughed too. LOL. Damn, I'm missing my primary school. I wanna see Kelvin Spindler again. My oh-so favourite seatmate which I used to kick in the shin for annoying me. Ahh, good times. Er, yes. I'm a violent little girl. But Thenappan said he'd grown taller and more handsome. HA! As if that guy wasn't tall enough! What, does he have to look way down to see me now? I am so vertically challenged. Should I go back to my primary school tomorrow? Hmmmm. Anyways, I'm trying to decide what I should wear tomorrow for school. We're allowed to wear home clothes for the CNY celebrations... I've got two red tops and three bottoms to choose from. Sigh, tough choice. No, really. I'm serious. There's nothing wrong with me. It's just that you're not as open-minded.
I change hobbies faster than...Er, I don't know but I kinda change hobbies frequently. Same with interests and all that stuff. Hm, now it's Heroes, Granado Espada, and Ayumi Hamasaki. I feel like I've betrayed Clara somehow. I completely have not watched any anime or read any manga since late last year. I've been more into gaming and TV shows which show real people acting and more on English music rather than Japanese ones... 0_0 Maybe I need to catch up on my anime. I haven't watched Bleach or Tsubasa in months. Since like, what, October?! Gah, I need to catch up on my Tsubasa. At least Bhavna's there to tell me about the latest updates on Bleach. Ha. Congratulations to Manju PM for discovering love today. Hahaha! With someone, wink wink. Once again, had a nice conversation with Sharon on our ride home on the MRT. Haha, maybe I should take the MRT more often with her. One thing we talked about was why some girls changed crushes so fast. Gah, I'm being all therapist mode again. Maybe I should just cut to the chase. At the end of the day, there might be two types of romantic love. One that lasts a lifetime, and one that seems like a candle, where the flame only lasts for a while and the wax melts till the candle's all distorted. Confessions of a lost, confused heart. Aiyah.
Nadine is the biggest hypocrite on earth. That is all, thank you. Lance Corporals!
OHMYGAWD, WE FINALLY GOT OUR BADGES!Huiting, Felicia, Jieying, Yong, Janelle, Denise, Dorin, Rachel! We're lance corporals now! With actual badges! HAHAHAHAHAHA! GB ROCKS, ROCKS, ROCKS! Even if they're trying to be stricter this year, GB still rocks! And we finally, finally learned new stuff for drill! And I think I can survive changing parades now even though my hair will be incredibly messy... Which reminds me, I need to buy more hair pins =D Happy 14th Birthday~!
Officially 14 today! Mwahahahahahahahaha!Okay, two more years for my super sweet sixteen. L-O-L. Thank you Yong, Sharon, Huiting and Manju for the birthday presents! And thanks to everyone who wished me the birthday wishes! At Maths class the class sang Happy Birthday to me and Jonathan, since we both have the same birthday. It felt so weird okay. That the birthday song was being sung to me during the class which kills a whole freaking lot of my brain cells. Today wasn't that bad, my classmates made it a day worthy of remembering =D Gonna post some pics here of my day ^_^ I found this really cool butterfly graffiti on one of the tables during History class. I edited it, ha! Why is it that there's always a test on my birthday? Last year it was Maths, this year, history... ![]() |
