How many of you switched off your lights for Earth Hour?!Haha, of course I wouldn't know but I think it's a cool campaign. I was out with my mom last night but I made sure my dad and bro switched off all the lights at home from 8.30 to 9.30 at least. I only heard about this earth hour a couple of weeks ago but I didn't know that this wasn't the first one that was organised. It started since two years ago, I think. But I'm not really that sure. Anyway, I went out last night with my mom to watch the SHOPAHOLIC movie! I read all the books so far, though I can't really remember every single thing that happened I still thought the movie was fabulous. The clothes are freakin' drool-worthy and you'll laugh every five seconds, except maybe at the dramatic parts where I teared up. Yes, people. Even a movie about a shopaholic will have dramatic moments and it's not just some airhead spending, spending and spending. I loved Isla Fisher (the actress playing the lead, Rebecca Bloomwood). She's hilarious. I love her character, Rebecca, too. Actually I loved all the characters. And everyone has crazy style and personality. I actually read some reviews before I watched it and they all complained that the plot was predictable. But I think every book or movie is predictable in the end. Comedy movies never have sad endings. Pure romance movies or books almost always never had a sad ending either. Romeo and Juliet died in the end partially because Romeo was suicidal in the first place anyway. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I never really focus on the plot. I focus on the characters instead. Like the actual Shopaholic books, I don't remember every single detail of the books but I remember the characters. And besides, I can relate to Becky. Aspiring journalist for a fashion magazine? Check. Impulsive shopper? Check. Fabulous style? Okay, maybe not that one. And maybe without twelve credit cards too. I swear, if I don't stop ogling at all the Chanel clothes or Louboutin heels I find online, I'm gonna be in debt someday like her. Ooh, Chanel. And Louboutins. I saw a lot of Louboutins in the movie! ... Shutting up now. Awesome friends.
Had a great time with the Deli-crats yesterday. Unfortunately, Amariah couldn't come because she and her family went to Hong Kong.Yesterday, DA celebrated mine and Denise's birthdays. They bought cake and everything and planned to make me and Denise wet using water bombs. Haha, they failed. They only managed to pop one bomb on top of my head and it wasn't all that effective cos I have thick hair. HAHA. My camera did get a bit wet though, but it's working fine. Then they only managed to get Denise's feet wet :P Got presents too. Btw, I finished all the cookies DA gave me. Haha. Of course, my brother took half of it... Then after that, me and Sharon went around Vivo to see what it had to offer. We even tried on nail polish at Daiso! Next time I'm gonna give someone a present, I'll buy gift wrapper from there. I like being creative with wrapping presents :) That is, if I have the time. I don't know why I'm creative in these sort of stuff but I can't draw or paint. Huh. Next one will be Meiyi~ I'm trying to convince Sharon to make a Facebook account so that she'll be able to see the pics I've been taking for our clique outings (I faithfully bring a camera to each one). But she says she's too lazy to do so. Hah. Maybe I'll convince Ama and Dorin too. Tomorrow there's Physics remedial (BOOOO) and bowling with GB (YAAAAAY!). And you know what, this also signifies that my holidays are ending (NOOOOO!). And I've still got holiday homework =_______= Let's see, what I have left...
And okay, I have three days left. BLEEEEHHHHHHHH. I'll cram 1 to 5 tomorrow after GB. Gaaaaahhhh. Whoo.
The holidays are here! Yeah! I can finally sleep! But of course, there's still homework. Oh well, at least I can do them in my own pace. This Monday, going to the Coffee Bean with Dorna, Tuesday, eating sakae with Meiyi, Wednesday, probably going out with the deli-crats (once its confirmed) and on Friday, going bowling with the GB girls! Speaking of the GB girls, yesterday was their drill competition. They made some mistakes here and there and in the end got a bronze award. If you ask me or anyone else in the company who wasn't in the competition, I know that they deserved at least a silver. The girls were really depressed about getting a bronze and I know how they feel. They worked terribly hard, staying back countless of hours every week to brush up on their drill. I feel really sad for them, feeling this way. I just wish I can do something about it. The best I can do is just talk, tell them that it's going to be ok and that we're still one big GB family with or without a medal. They all cried and I really wanted to cry with them. But I was too angry at something else to cry. The GB girls who I've talked to after the competition should know why. Maths, you suck.
Changed everything (the layout) again. I just felt like it. Hah.Does anyone know how much I completely hate maths? Not only do I suck at it, but will those complex questions ever be applied in normal everyday life? For example, do you need to find an area of a graph when you're working in some boring office at 40? Or find x to the power of y? NOOOO. IT'S NOT AS IF CALCULATORS DON'T EXIST, RIGHT! OR THAT NUMBERS AREN'T GIVEN TO YOU AS THEY ARE! WHO USES xs AND ys IN REAL LIFE ANYWAY?! Sorry, this is my way of venting my absolute dislike for maths. School has been a rush. A rush full of tests, homework and ... Oh, wait, only tests and homework. =_____= Sooooo, some of you all might have already heard that I'm going to Australia. Well, the whole story is this: Dad got posted there. Applied for Visa already. Waiting for reply. If reply is positive, then dad goes to Australia first. Few months after he goes, rest of family goes too. Yeah, that's the whole summarised version. Currently, I'm waiting for the VISA replies. My friends don't want me to go but I can't do anything about it, really. My dad wants to move there for good. And even if I do stay here, I'll be the only one here in Singapore. Where am I supposed to live? I don't want to be in some hostel being taken care of by a stranger... No offence to people who are living in hostels but I can't survive like that... Honestly, if you ask me whether I wanted to go, I'll answer yes and no. Yes, because it's really a great new experience for me. No, because I'll be leaving my friends behind and these are the people that I've been growing with during my pre-teen days till now that I'm 15. And for me, I think that's a really big thing. And I'm damn scared, just thinking about it. The same question applies: Are they going to like me over there, what if no one does, what if I can't make any friends, what if I can't catch up with their syllabus, etc. I'm practically shaking just thinking about it. So... it's not really my first time being in a new school. But now that I'm 15, if I do move there, they would already have their own cliques and stuff. Haha, and besides. I've been spoiled by Singapore too much. I heard from Yong that you absolutely cannot go home by yourself at night there in Australia. And I keep going to 7-11 at 10pm on some nights here on Singapore. Hah. |
