Real friends put you in daring situations.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANJU!Hope you had fun on our celebration yesterday (what am I saying? You should! :P) We made her put on make-up, wear this cardboard sign around her neck that says "Hey People! It's my birthday today so go ahead and give me a kiss!" (courtesy of Hui Ting) and "lipstick-ed" both her cheeks with "kiss" on one side and "me" on the other. Yes, when we the deli-crats embarrass each other, it's a sign of our love, care and friendship. Though I might be exaggerating a bit? I dunno. Stupid D and T homework. Hopefully I won't fail. Now I can't freakin' study for EOYs because of it. Damn, I also have to ask someone to hide my DS away from me, too... Pictures of the party coming soon. Might take a long time cos I have no time. Even now, I'm still researching for the damn D and T homework. I am so not taking this subject next year. Screwed hopelessness.
I got my Nintendo DS! Whoots! And I'm sleeping even later at night just because of the games! My exams are coming and I'm still playing! Gah! Btw, Trauma Centre: Under the Knife 2 kicks so much ass. If you have a DS, go get the game. It's a-w-e-s-o-m-e. ![]() Good luck though. It'll really, really keep you busy for hours. Thursday was horrible. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I really, really hope for karma to take its course regarding what happened. First horrible thing that happened is so freakin' obvious for those in 2-Truth. Unfortunately, some people are too thick-headed, to put it mildly. Second horrible thing that happened yesterday? The deli-crats, minus Manju, ate lunch at Cafe Cartel and as usual, Denise would make disgusting little experiments of mixing stuff. So, she mixed CHILLI with Yong's vanilla milkshake, then more people joined in. They added butter, barbecue sauce and herbs and all that crap. And we had to play this game and whoever loses, must sip it through the straw. Erm, I was the first one to be eliminated. It's a miracle I'm still alive, you know. But everyone got a chance to taste the "weird stuff". We all nearly puked. Then today's lunch was McDonalds. Same thing happened again but this time, it's hot fudge sundae, McFlurry, curry sauce, lettuce and probably chilli, I can't remember. Yeah, it's making me sick just writing them down here. I lost three freakin' times and had to take a teaspoonful of that disgusting liquid THREE whole times. OMG, I'M STILL FREAKIN' ALIVE. I think I'll be qualified to be featured into that Discovery Channel show. What's it called again? "I Shouldn't Be Alive"? Being melodramatic here but I think I'm entitled to that. :P One more week to exams! EWWW. Please dethrone Queen Serena.
Gossip Girl Episode 4 - The Ex-Files.Awesome. Buh-bye lovestruck Serena, hello Queen S! I'm scared for the future episodes though. It's now Serena vs. Blair. In the books, Blair always gets thrown around as a character. What, with her bulimia, family problems and love problems, she instantly became one of my favourite characters in the history of fiction. She's so vulnerable yet so powerful and manipulative at the same time that I can't help but love her! So I'm rooting for Queen B no matter what! And no, I'm not crazy for loving a fictional character. I ain't les either. Chuck was made of pure awesome this week. Poor Dan, getting the worse end of the stick. That new character Amanda's a pure bitch while the whole Nate and Vanessa thing is getting so freakin' complicated that I really, really just want them to give up and say let's forget about the whole thing and just make-out and get back together again! Lame, I know but I completely, wholeheartedly want this rather than more episodes of denial. Okay, so I'm not exactly sure they're getting back together but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. And I'm probably one of the few people who actually like them together. They're just so different and contrasting that they sorta fit right. To me, anyways. Dan and Serena aren't getting back together. Sad. I thought they were cute. Sigh, what's going to happen next? What will happen to N and V? What's with N kissing little J? What will happen to S and B? And what about Rufus and Lilly? Blair and Chuck? And what the hell is Chuck's plan?! And what about Nate and Vanessssaaaaaa?!?!?!?!?!??! Curse you, evil, twisted and brilliant Gossip Girl scriptwriters. OH YEAH.
Let's see, Saturday, I was really too lazy to study. So I was on the computer practically all day. Then for today, during morning, I played some badminton with my parents and then my dad asked me to clean up my room. Then we went out during the afternoon. So yeah, zero progress. At least something good happened today. I'm finally getting (confirmed) my Nintendo DS! Okay, so it's not exactly Crimson/Onyx, I got the ice blue one instead. There's a perfectly logical reason as to why I just didn't go somewhere else to look for the Crimson/Onyx one. There's this gaming store in Compass Point that sold the DS for $330 and the package included:
I almost wanted to shout ARE YOU FOR REAL?! to the woman who told me about their promotion. So I'm collecting my order this Thursday (since my dad wants to wait till he gets his salary :P) and pray that I won't be too tempted by it since I need to focus on my EOYs. Haha, I bet I sound like someone with no life Pretty~ Btw, new band recommendations: Cold War Kids, Interpol, Manchester Orchestra, The Bravery, Peter Bjorn and John, Weezer, The Windupdeads, Motion City Soundtrack and The Pierces. As always, they rock :) Especially Cold War Kids. Whooo! Indie Rock! Yeah, about more than 80% of the songs in my iPod are either alternative rock or indie rock...
Ellen, you rock.
"Every teenager in the country is reading STEPHENIE MEYER'S "Twilight" series of books (and will soon be watching the movies!). I am thrilled to announce that Stephenie is giving me a rare TV interview on Wednesday! Her latest book in the series, "Breaking Dawn," is about a teenage girl who is torn between her love for a caring vampire and a sweet-natured werewolf. (Why are the good ones always taken?!) Stephenie was also writing a new book from Edward the Vampire's point of view, but certain chapters got leaked online, and now she might not even release it! (I'm gonna try my best to talk her into it, or at least have her give me the scoop on what happens!) " http://ellen.warnerbros.com/thisweek/ I ♥ you, Ellen. Good luck with talking SM into continuing Midnight Sun! WHOOOOOO! Btw, I want this. The Nintendo DS Lite in Crimson/Onyx. Ain't it sexyyy? Haha. I want this, I want this, I want thisssss!! My dad says if I can get 4 As then he'll get me one. Gaaaaah. Not fair. My brother can get a PSP just because it was his BIRTHDAY while I have to rack my brains out just to get a Nintendo DS?! WTF. I'm still going to try though. I still want it! It's a Disaster.
Being in the recreation committee in GB is one of the most "eventful" things I've done. I mean, we just plan these games not knowing if whether there'll be enough people playing them or if the girls will think that they're lame or something. Because in my head, I imagine them screaming and laughing away as they play the games but then in the end, the opposite might happen. Then there's the problem of whether there'll be enough stuff and enough time, etc.So yeah, that's basically what happened today. Not enough time, not enough logistics so I'm kind of paranoid that they were bored. My mom, brother and aunt just went out to Wisma Atria and I didn't go with them cos I was planning to study. She was teasing me that she'll buy a Nintendo DS (which I want so badly!) while they're there. Wow, thanks Mom. I'm being a good student here while you tempt me into going out and then buying my most wanted thing right now. Okay, so I haven't started studying yet. The science book is here beside my laptop though! Btw, these are the Korean covers for Twilight and New Moon respectively. They are so freakin' gorgeous. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Click here to go to the website of the guy who drew them. His creations are equally gorgeous but gothic. But they look really pretty though... In a goth way. And some of them are creepy. And I mean, really creepy. Oh, it's in Korean BTW. But there aren't much words so I guess anyone with a properly working brain will be able to navigate around it. Toodles. I'll be off opening my science textbook... ...Later. WE HATE RUSSEL BRAND.
MTV decides to address the whole "Russel-Brand-cutting-off-Robert-Pattinson-at-the-VMAs-while-he-was-trying-to-present-a-band" situation.Click here if you want to see it. Then share the hate with me and all the rest of the Twilight community. I hate you Russel Brand. What's wrong with you, cutting off Rob Pattinson like that?! WHATISWRONGWITHYOU!! I hate you, Russel Brand. Anyway, this week has been damn interesting. Just this Wednesday we all thought we were gonna die because Mr Lai told us this story of some scientific thing-a-majig that the scientists invented to launch two protons around the world around the Earth and then when it finally crashes with each other, it'll make new life or explain the Big Bang theory and whatever. Then people were thinking that the impact could be so big that black holes would appear and suck us all in and then we'll die. And then today Mr Lai told us once again that oh, hey it's a false alarm! Then he showed us this webpage about it which said that the protons or whatever would probably meet up in a couple weeks or months' time. So, these gives us a few more weeks of living? I dunno. And I had lunch with Manju, Yong and Amariah at Mos Burger today. Manju and Yong both wanted to see Amariah reenacting Serena van der Woodsen's-famous-strawberry-licking-and-sucking-scene-to-make-a-guy-horny. I LOL-ed. Cos Amariah can't do it. And she kept complaining that the strawberries were too cold. LOL. And Yong and Manju kept mocking every single thing they can think of. From liposuction, to phlegm, to erm... I can't remember but you get the idea. And we laughed so freakin' long and loud that I'm shocked we weren't banned from that place yet! And that our stomachs hurt so much that Manju and Yong were saying, "We can get a 4-pack from this already." xD Kyaaa!
Thank you Manju for getting me hooked again on Gossip Girl!(Even if I didn't even finished the first season, ehehehehe. I got sick and tired of waiting for the damn video to load. I am so going to buy the DVD though.) The second season looks F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C even if only episode 2 is the latest so far. Stupid Nate! Stupid older woman named Catherine! He's having an affair with her to save his family's reputation or whatever! Poor Vanessa!
I still love Blair. She's so evil and manipulative that I keep squealing "OMG" everytime her plans work. Chuck's still an overachiever who's so freakin' insecure and everything (he can't even admit his feelings for Blair even when he makes all these outrageous plans to win her back). Jenny and Eric are still cute and Dan and Serena are still so... It rhymes with 'corny'. :D And thank goodness all the parental drama is over! The whole Rufus and Lily thing was really superficial and kinda lame -___________- But they're all good anyway. I'm waiting for you now, DVD. xoxo.
Ugggh.
School's back again. Gaaaah. It's only the first week and we already have a class test on Thursday and an English project due by end of this week. Gaaaah. Holidays, come closer. Please. Hey there, Bugis.
Went to Bugis with Amariah, Sharon, Huiting, Yong and Denise today. Thanks for all the fun, girls! The camwhoring was interesting too. LOL.But we were lacking personal conversation time! I guess we were too busy window-shopping, eh? :D Manju wasn't able to make it. I don't know aobut Dorin, though. She doesn't seem the type to go out for fun =_______=" The pictures are at the clique blog. The ones we took in the elevator make us look like ghosts though. Denise and Yong got braces. Yong doesn't like it cos she can't eat anything. She says it's kinda painful too. After we went to Bugis, we were planning to go to Dhoby Ghaut next. So we jumped into the MRT. It was so packed, the others had to push me to get in (cos I was in front) and I almost collided into this guy. Some more, during the ride, a guy was almost hugging me (cos he's tall, I'm short :P) cos it was so packed. Denise, Huiting and Yong were all laughing at me =_____= Then Sharon called Huiting, because she went to collect her specs and meet us there, and Huiting told her we were on the MRT to City Hall. That's when we started getting weird looks. Then the next stop was announced; Somerset. And that's when we realized we were on the wrong line. We kept laughing like siao in the MRT and pushed ourselves out! Lol. That was so funny. MEDIA LITERACYYY!
The workshop rocked! We learned a lot about examining advertisements and such. Gosh, if I took this subject next year (which is a very high chance), I'll never look at advertisements the same way ever again. Then after that, we tried decoding Music Videos. So, we examined four today: Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters" (which was freaky and cool at the same time, cos it was inspired by Memoirs of a Geisha), Evanescence's "Everybody's Fool" (very emo), Kylie Minogue's "Come Into My World" (cute), Spice Girls' "Wannabe" (crap, the song's stuck in my head) and Britney Spears' "Lucky" (which makes me wonder what the heck happened to her these past few years). It was kinda fun. Then lunch came and you wouldn't believe what we had. ![]() SIX BOXES OF PIZZA, A BOX OF CHICKEN WINGS AND ANOTHER BOX OF SWEET AND SPICY DRUMLETS. And then several minutes later, I don't know how many boxes of Old Chang Kee curry puffs arrived. Yes, please pick up your jaw from the floor now. We were damn stuffed. And can you believe we only paid $2.50 for this?! After lunch, we were asked to make a proposal of a TV advertisement for an item we picked randomly. My group got the MacBook. There was another group who got the Sony VAIO and their proposal was so damn funny! It involved David Beckham playing for Real Madrid against another team. The scores were both zero and he had to make a penalty shootout. So he whips out his VAIO and starts calculating the amount of force he needs to exert for the ball to make a goal, without the goalkeeper catching it! In the end, his calculations were correct and Real Madrid won the game! LOL! We were all asking: WHY DAVID BECKHAM?! Apparently, the group completely had no answer so Ms Wong decided to save them by saying: "This shows that using the product is a no-brainer, right?" Lol. There was another proposal for UOB Women's Card. The first scene was of Avril Lavigne on a rooftop, feeling emo and about to jump off the building. *insert emo song here* when suddenly, she feels something in her palm. It's the UOB Women's card! *insert HALLELUIAH theme song here* And then she starts buying millions of clothes from those expensive boutiques. It ends with her winking at the camera saying "Without it, everything isn't worth anything!" AVRIL LAVIGNE?! LOL!! BTW Bhavna, you better finish Breaking Dawn and return it to me before the holidays are over or I'm gonna hurt you. New and improved...?
Hello there, people!I've completely changed everything. Skin, link, and blahblahblah. Guess who the model above is. Tee-hee. Can you believe that I was bored enough to make this skin? Well, I didn't really make it on my own. I used the codes from blogskins.com and just changed the graphics and the colours. It's not perfect but I don't think I messed up much. The pictures on top is from Chanel's Paris-Londres 2007/8 Fashion Show in London. Watch it here. The clothes are AMAZING. Haha, haute couture fever. If only I could wear those clothes. And the hair and make-up looks really cool. Which reminds me. Someone called me a fake on their PUBLIC blog and said that I acted "high-class (act only)". Ermm, okay. =_______________= And that me and the deli-crats are so despo that we flirt a lot. Once again: Ermm, okay. =_______________= If we're so despo, we would've gotten boyfriends by now. Sadly, there isn't one sigle guy in school worth flirting with. And we hate almost all the guys in school. Gee, it probably has something to do with the fact that they piss us all off with their immaturity. With that said, I shall end this post with a reminder. Remember kids, cyber-bullying can land you in jail and if you use real names, then yay for you. You'll get a whole lot more attention from the ones you insulted :) And the angrier someone is, the more ingenious their plans are! Yay, that was so Blair Waldorf! Whoops, I've just become a sadist~ :D |
