A road full of rocks.
Today started off weird. When Clara arrived at school, she walked to me and then we started jumping up and down because I found a website that says that Ayumi Hamasaki might be coming to Singapore this year! We don't know if it's confirmed yet but our hopes are already sky-high! Please, Ayumi-sama! Grace Singapore with your heavenly presence! I'll go on a hunger strike just to see you live in concert, please!!Anyways... back to the point. For PE, we were given a choice whether to play badminton or volleyball. Me, Huiting and Yong stuck with badminton. I suck at volleyball. I can't even aim properly, hah. With badminton, I just hit then can already. haha. Then after PE, Mr Lai asked us who wanted to compete for the badminton interclass competition... Yong and Huiting wanted to compete and they said my name out loud too, I guess. I didn't really object since, it's just a game and whatever. And no one else seemed to mind. It was only after PE that I thought... Shit, what have I gotten myself into?! Crap, crap, crap. Then after PE, was Maths. Mr Koh gave us a pop quiz. Then I was like, WTF DO ALL THESE EQUATIONS MEAN?! Well, as you can see, I haven't even started revising for my exams yet. Gosh, I feel so suck-y for that. Ironically enough, Mrs Grace Chua gave us a talk on Time Management this morning, saying avoid procrastination and blah-blah-blah. Huiting and I agreed that procrastination is probably both our best friends now. Hah. And, I'm probably gonna fail that pop quiz. #!%&*#$%!* Sigh. Tomorrow, I shall study. Maths, Science, History and English. Gawd, next year if I'm taking about 8 or 9 subjects, maybe I'll die... Ayu-nite!
Happy Birthday Huiting! Hope you had fun in your little party! Manju throwing the cake at Huiting's face was hilarious! We had fun organising the event too. Today was just plain fun and hilarious though. When we tried to surprise Huiting with the cake, the candle flame was estinguished multiple times cos of the wind. I was carrying the cake while every few seconds, one of the candle flame will be put out and Denise, Dorin, Manju and Yong tried to light it up again. Yong kept saying "Don't laugh! Don't laugh! Later the fire no more!" But she said it in such a funny way that we all laughed anyway! LOL. After we all ate the cake, we made Huiting sit down on a bench to receive our presents. What she didn't know was that Manju was behind. With a pail of soapy, cold water... We all started giggling and Huiting looked behind, then looked down. Then screamed. And ran away. But Manju caught up to her and still threw the water at her! HAHA! Today was definitely funny. Some more, there was this handsome looking angmoh guy who walked past us then Yong suddenly said, "Hey, hottie!" He actually turned around!! We all laughed so much!! But there was this time where I used some equipment from the playground where we're supposed to hang to this stem-like thing and then someone was supposed to spin us. Gawd, I feel so nauseous now. No puking yet, though. But, I don't even see why you should know that :P And I finally gave Clara her overdue birthday present. It's like, 8 days overdue. Gosh, I suck for that. And she finally lent me her new Ayumi Hamasaki CDs! Gosh, Mirrorcle World RAWKS. The music video rocks too. And I'm off to watch Tour of Secret now! <3 Ayumi Hamasaki is <3! Intoxication, at its best.
I finished New Moon. Almost 600 pages in merely 4 days. I know of some people who've read Harry Potter in like, 3 hours or something but for me to finish an incredibly thick book within 4 days is just puzzling to me.I still think Jacob is annoying, even though I can understand the importance of his character. I mean, without him, the story would lose some of its impact, and the character development for him is quite deep. So I guess I don't hate him as much as I should. Haha, three posts about Twilight and counting! Bhavna already caught up on this observation! Lol. Anyways, CA1 is coming in 10 days. At times like this, I'm kinda glad I don't have any mother tongue. But even so, you couldn't even revise my own mother tongue. Studying for German or Tagalog is like studying for English. I don't really do anything. I'm going to have trouble with History and Maths though. Honestly, my carelessness for Maths comes at full blast for exams. Maybe it's because I'm more worried? More worried that I lose my cautiousness bit by bit? Maybe. As for History, we have to study the whole entire book. Sigh, typing out that sentence already makes me want to avoid doing exactly what I said. Hey, I wonder if saying "pain is temporary, glory is forever" actually helps. For me, it doesn't. Well, let's face it, studying isn't exactly pain. The worst we can think of it is that it's a must do, even if we don't actually enjoy what we're doing. And we know for a fact that nothing lasts forever, not pain, not glory. But then, what's so wrong about trying to achieve something good even if we have to go through something bad? What's so wrong of achieving something so temporary, even though we all know that everything will still fade away someday? Absolutely nothing. Things are temporary, so why not just grab every opportunity while you can? Life is temporary, so what's stopping you to just pursue everything you possibly want and can? Absolutely nothing. Oh My God, I think too much. I think I tend to analyze stuff too much sometimes. But hey, life lessons are important, I guess. I'll try to make this my motivation for going through all these days studying. Yes, I can't do anything without self-motivation. That's why sometimes I have to mentally beat myself up sometimes to go through a challenge. Hah, I'm over-analytical. Stumped. And stars are in my eyes.
You are number 4 on our reservation list. That's it people, my self-control has snapped like a frail twig. But I don't even care that much! Mwahaha! Edward and Bella is just pure absolute <3 A friend of mine is lending me her copy of New Moon (book numbah 2!), then I've already reserved Eclipse (book numbah 3!) in the library... Yikes. Just heard that the movie is going to premiere very, very late into the year. Like, December or something. YIKES. And Bhavna just said that Jacob wouldn't be so bad for Bella after I've finished reading New Moon and Eclipse. Whatever. EDWARD PWNS JACOB. Mwahahahahahaha! And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
I AM ADDICTED TO TWILIGHT NOW. I READ AN ALMOST 500-PAGE BOOK WITHIN 3 DAYS DESPITE MY TIME ON THE COMPUTER, GB MEETING, HOMEWORK AND WHATEVER.AND I AM DEBATING WHETHER I SHOULD RESERVE THE SECOND BOOK, NEW MOON, AT THIS VERY MOMENT, SINCE, I WOULD MOST LIKELY GET DISTRACTED BY THIS GLORIOUS SERIES AND NOT PAY ATTENTION TO MY COMING CA1 EXAMS. ARGH, DAMMIT! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as Edward and Bella. I am so freakin' excited for the movie. Quoted from Stephenie Meyer (the author) herself,"While watching the playback from a very intense scene with Bella and Edward, the girl next to me literally slid right out of her chair—I think her bones melted. She also may have stopped breathing for a few seconds, too. I know I did." BRING IT ON!
Oh, the irony!
Today is one of the most ironic days of my life.I woke up at 7, despite my PFT being at 10. I couldn't go back to sleep so I just read some more Twilight. 8am, started to shower. Then by about 8.15, was already eating breakfast. 8.30, started to pack. Yeah, I take a really long time just to pack. =____=" 8.40, started tying my hair. And it was so freakin' difficult to make an unmessy ponytail with wet hair. ARGH. Then put on contacts and looked for my shoes and socks. 9.05, missed my bus. 9.12, started getting impatient waiting for bus, so decided to take a taxi instead. Waited, waited, someone stole my first taxi, then my second, then... my third. 9.20, called Yong and she told me that they were already in the concourse. I was like, WTF. I scrammed, cursed, and walked all over the place blindly finding for a taxi then I tripped =___=" Found a taxi in the middle of the road (it wasn't moving cos of the red light). Yeah I know. I was so kiasu already, I couldn't even wait till the taxi was near me. Then thankfully, I made it to school on time. Phew. Then the MOST IRONIC THING OF ALL TODAY?? I passed my standing broad jump. Then failed my shuttle run. OMG, I'm already laughing over the irony! Stupid pain in the knee. How come it's almost tradition for me to fall or injure my knee before I go for my 5 items test?! WTF. Nevermind, retest next week. Must not fail that one. The Challenge training was very, very fun today. Captain's ball with the primary school girls was really interesting, but the game we played after they left was just plain hilarious! Haha, Denise, Yong, Huiting and Dorin's wackyness is just pure <3 :D o_O
ZOMGWTF.I passed my freakin' 2.4... ZOMGWTF. Aiyah, I think I'm gonna fail my standing broad jump anyways. Hmm, I should at least try to think positively, right? Postive points -
:P And I finally got my Twilight! Mwahaha...! So engrossing... This afternoon I was locked out of my house because my brother (who has the key) came home late. And while I was waiting for him I was still reading this book... :DDDD And Veoh is so freakin' bloody slow. I want to watch my Code Geass R2 dammit! And my Special A ~~ ! Anime&Manga is <3 And I'm here watching anime and posting when I could be practicing for my jump! Pro, leh. And the deli-crats pang seh-ed me and Amariah during 2.4 *sob sob* Hehe, no hard feelings lah. But you could've just dragged us or whatever =____= Lacklustre-d.
I'm getting a knack for using complicated vocabulary. It's fun :DI forgot to talk about the little "disaster" I had last Saturday. During the award ceremony, I was in Team A and we had to do ushering. My group (Felicia, Yan Fen, Janelle and me...) was in charge of directing where the guests' cars and the school's buses were supposed to go. It was freakin' frustrating since the big buses sometimes weren't able to see us. Anyways, Miss Foo was there too, since an officer is supposed to look out for our safety and whatever. I was walking blindly since there wasn't any buses or cars in sight. Then suddenly my steps felt a little uneven and when I lifted up my foot, there was a rock stuck in my boots! Eeeh, it was damn big some more leh. So I was like, showing it to Felicia and Yan Fen then Miss Foo came along. I was so agitated about my boots that I was stomping to where they were. Then Miss Foo said that I shouldn't be stomping because the rock will get more stuck. And I actually, accidentally, said the f-word. In front of Miss Foo. Who's my officer and one of the councillor teachers at school. x_X Her expression showed pure shock though. I guess she didn't know I was capable of cursing... Then after that she started poking me with the antenna of her walkie talkie, telling me the story of when she first accidentally said that word in front of her mom, she got slapped... Eeee-yah. Anyways, nothing interesting happened today. Yuck, I hate Mondays. And this week is going to suck because of our PFT. Yuck, yuck, yuck. And CA1's coming soon. Double-Triple-Quadruple Yuck. Korea, sparkling.
Korean manga, korean drama, korean food. Now I know why Sharon's so obsessed with Korea. I like their manga (manhwa) already :D And I went to a korean restaurant today to eat and the food was delish ~ ! Korean drama, I 'm not so sure. There's always the typical love-rectangle in it that it makes me bored. But I loved Goong, My Girl and Hello, Miss! Notice something? Two of them include a lot of Korean culture references. Waaaaah, if only I could go for the school trip to there next year! :D Another thing I've noticed. Huiting, Manju and Denise are incredibly lovesick nowadays. Yong is officially a sadist... to Dorin, and likes to pair people up even though aforementioned people might disagree. Dorin keeps saying she hates Yong for bullying her but makes no effort to avoid her. And Sharon, Amariah and me are still the same old Sharon, Amariah and Nadine. Although Amariah has her Umbrella Boy. LOL. And no, he's a not a guy who likes to sing Rihanna's Umbrella all the time. I'm just emotional, not emo.
GB enrolment rehearsalllllll ........Then ushering for the GB award ceremonyyyyyyyyyyyy......... Damn tired, sia. I feel so lonely suddenly. Ewww. I'm being emoooo. You can sense the exaggeration here, don'cha? Hmm, maybe not lonely lah but I feel attention-deprived. Lol, that sounds egoistic. Whatever. Maybe I just don't have charisma or whatever. Maybe it's just one of those days. Currently reading Forever in Blue - the fourth summer of the sisterhood and I really can relate to two of the characters, Carmen and Lena. Mou, I'm being paranoid. Being paranoid. Being paranoid. Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song, A medley of extemporanea; And love is a thing that can never go wrong; And I am Marie of Romania. - Dorothy Parker. My new heroine.
Normally I hate Wednesdays but...
Today was funny. I skipped the 2.4 run today and Mr Lai didn't come so some two guys relief-ed him for our PE today. Then Mr Tan was also there so he made me and Jacquelyn station ourselves at the second checkpoint for the 2.4 run. While walking there, I talked crap with Jacq. Then when we got there, the sun was mercilessly shining down on us. Then we got bored for a while sooo... I sat down and I took off my shoes and socks and suntanned my feet. BWAHAHAHA! I even rolled up my sleeves. :P Gah, I hate tan lines. I seriously need a more even skintone :P Seriously, there were old men cycling that were staring at me. But whatever lah, I'd take (minor) embarrassment anytime if it means not having ugly tan lines on my feet and arms :P Funny thing is, some of them even ran around me and Jacq, even if I was sitting in the ground tanning my feet! LOL. Then when the run was over, I walked back to the hall with Jacquelyn. Warning, never ever start a serious conversation with her if the sun's getting to her. She told me my head looked big! Wth? Sooo, got back my maths results today too. I did slightly better for this one compared to my previous maths test on Algebra. But still, it sucked. For me, I guess. Home econs was boring. When the hell are we going to start cooking again? Three whole boring periods for home econs is way too much! After school, while walking to J8 with the delicrats (except for Manju, since she has some NPCC thing), we caught Mr Patrick Goh. The delicrats then proceeded to interrogate him on his girlfriend, him saying stuff like he's been with her for seven years and all that. Yong even pointed out that he still wasn't married when he's been with his girlfriend for SEVEN years. Woah, he got commitment issues ah? And yeah, his girlfriend's from Taiwan. Lol, Huiting was right. And he's 30 and his girlfriend's 27. Lol, I'm like, starting a gossip column already. Speaking of gossip, Chace Crawford and Carrie Underwood are over! omg. Should I be jumping for joy or crying for Chace?? Hmmmm. Btw, I forgot to post about Sharon's birthday. Happy birthday, blithe! I hoped you liked the cheesecake brownies I baked for ya. :D P.S.: My dad's restricting my internet hours. =________= On some days, he even hides my laptop. Like today. But aiyah. I know where he hides it already. How... predictable =____= :P EVERRRLAAAAND!
By some strange series of events, Sharon, Amariah, Huiting and I got tickets for the matinee show of Everland. Pictures galore!Sharon. Felicia (Our usher!) Amariah.
Group photo taken by Ong Shijie. His camera phone sucks! Well, started the day by going to the immigrations. Damn bloody long queue. Then after that, met Huiting at City Hall then headed to Marina Square to eat, since we decided to meet Amariah and Sharon at the Raffles Hotel instead. After we ate, we got confused on how to go to Raffles Hotel, asked a security guard somewhere and he gave us directions. Got confused again when we reached Raffles Hotel since we didn't know how to get to the Jubilee Hall. Thank goodness Amariah and Sharon gave us directions. Eating at Subway with Merry Taitai. The toilets at that hotel were so high-class leh. Air conditioned with gold-plated taps! LOL. And we also met Veno there! And Mr Patrick Goh's girlfriend! LOL! Anyway, the production was cute. Quite charming. There was one part where the NPCC cadets were lined up along the aisle, looking like one of those Brtish soldiers with funny, furry hats who never moves. Amariah kept saying hello to this guy who was near our row then we all kept laughing! And of course, he's not supposed to laugh or move but we were all trying to make him laugh. LOL. Sooo, Everland wasn't so bad I guess. I sort of lost respect for Singaporean shows because every single one of the actors speak in obnoxious Singlish. Okay, I don't hate Singlish or anything but the way they talk in the show is really obnoxious. You know when it comes to school events that allows us to doll up however the hell we like, the most common saying from teachers would be "You look so different in your own clothes!" Gah, I'm in love with smoky eye shadow now. Hah, random. Suck-y.
Thursday today. Rain pouring hard, lightning and thunder are even scarier. This was how my week went, so far. Monday - Couldn't remember anything. Oh yeah. Badminton theory test. I was like, "WTF do these words mean?!" Still did well though. Oh, and had an interesting conversation with Mr Lai. This is probably the second time I'm talking about it but who the hell cares. We practically stayed back for about half an hour talking to him. Tuesday - Mwahaha, April Fool's Day! When I reached school, Manju and Huiting ran up to me, both of them with fake-worry faces. They said that Jacquelyn got ran over by a car and was on her way to the hospital already. Didn't fall for the trick though, because firstly, it was April Fool's Day. Secondly, somehow, I didn't really feel worried or anything. Hmm, call it sixth sense? LOL. I don't think so lah... Then for English, Wenhui gave me an oreo cookie. It tasted weird, yet familiar... I knew it was an April Fool's Joke so I just acted naturally and thanked her. Every 10-20 seconds she would look back at me to see if I puked or something. HA! Found out later it was actually wasabi oreo. Next time, please serve with sushi too! I'm not kidding... Wednesday - DAMN 2.4 RUN. How come I don't feel tired when running practically 3km for GB while 2.4km for the school is like so, long and tedious?! I think I was one of the last girls to finish the run. Whatever lah, just jog the whole way. But then Mr Lai caught me with that ever annoying bicycle saying stuff like "Running is all about mentality. Know that you can run ... so that you'll run faaaasterrrr." Thank you for your infinite wisdom, oh great all-knowing oracle. Gosh, his bicycle was so annoying that I actually ran up the slope instead of walking like I usually did. Motivation, sia. Then in the afternoon, had a long, boring and tiring CIP. KJH is a jerk. Gawd, guys have mood swings far worse than women. Thursday - Didn't have much school today due to the fact that a lot of people, students and teachers, were off to rehearse for the Everland production. There was something interesting that happened though, all in the name of Nicholas Lim. This was how the conversation went. This was after recess where me, Huiting and Sharon, the only ones left for usual lessons since the other taitais were in Everland or some workshop, were in the classroom and no one was there except for us and the Me and Huiting : Ei, why you lock the door? Later the teacher cannot come in. Nicholas Lim : Later got pai kia come leh. Me&HT : Aiyah, why you so scared? NL : You not meh? They all got gang. Me&HT : *Looks at each other* *A second later, uncontrollable laughter* Huiting : *Jokingly* Ha, Nicky Lim, I got my own gang leh. You scared of me now ha? Me : I'm part of her gang you know. We got steal before and all that leh... NL : Aiyah, I also got my own gang! My STUDY gang! Me&HT : *Uncontrollable laughter* HT : Don't tell me! You all use your books to hit your enemies! Me : Then they also use their sharp pencils to stab their enemies to death! Me&HT : *Uncontrollable laughter once again* NL : What crap you talking? Studying is good for health leh!! Harvey Lim : *Suddenly appears* He's right you know. Me&HT : *LAUGHING TILL OUR STOMACHS HURT.* WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! CLASSIC! Boredom can't kill you. Right?
These are probably about one month late but I guess it's not too late to show them. I like the one with the yellow background, where Manju (Britney Harpoon/Enraptured Taitai) is posing like a model... She says she got the inspiration from Blair and Serena x] And Amariah looks sweet (and probably more mature) in these neoprints. Haha... Yong got sick with fever yesterday. Get well soon, dearie! :D Well, it's Tuesday and the week has been uggghh. Yesterday was kind if funny, since there was something interesting that happened during one of the classes for the day. But since I don't really want anyone to get into trouble, I won't tell it here :P After PE, me and the taitais had a funny little talk with Mr Lai. Funny eh, this guy. Dunno why I feel so bored today. It's not like I'm restricted from doing anything. Sigh, I need something to improve my attention span... =___________= |
