OMG, TWILIGHT MOVIE.
I JUST WATCHED THE TWILIGHT MOVIE AND IT WAS BLOODY AWESOME! (Pun intended.)

THIS POST WILL BE VERY FULL OF SPOILERS, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED, DON'T READ.

Well, yeah it was really really good. I watched with my cousin Grace, who's never read the books and didn't even know it existed until I called her a few days ago to invite her to go to another state just to watch the movie. Haha, does it sound too extreme? Travelling to another state just to watch a movie? Don't care. But the ride was four-five hours long...

Anyway, even without knowing anything about Twilight, she really enjoyed it. The movie was great, my favourites were:

  • They actually had Kristen (Bella) narrate some parts, using the words from the book. And they stayed true to the book, though there were extra scenes but I think it was to make those whose never read the books understand better.

  • The comedy. It was hilarious. Even the Forks students were all hilarious.

  • The chemistry. The kissing scene was damn hot, I tell you! They were slowly, slowly moving towards each other and I was like holding my breath, man! When they finally kissed, Gawd, I could've died.

  • The action scenes, especially the baseball scene and the ballet studio scene. Total win. The baseball scene, GAH! PURE AWESOME! The ballet scene was really suspenseful, even the parts where Bella and Edward were driving out of Forks.

  • The music. Yes, they fit the scenes perfectly. Supermassive Black Hole by Muse in the baseball scene. OMG, EPIC!

  • There was an extra scene where Bella dreams of Edward being a traditional vampire, sucking on humans' blood and all. Well, she dreamed he was sucking her blood. But they made it look really sexy and glamorous cos they were on this elegant couch and they were all dressed up and Kristen even had make-up on! Haha.

  • Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Kristen did an amazing job of portraying a scared Bella. But at the same time, she made Bella look really logical even with the whole "I'll give up my human life to be with a vampire" thing. She didn't make it look love-sick or whatever, just logical, which is good. Robert Pattinson did a nice job of Edward, more rough maybe but it was all good.

  • The Cullens. They really had an impact even though they didn't talk much. But still, they fit the roles perfectly.

  • The sparkles. The effects (the sparkles and the ultra swift movements of the vampires) were good. They didn't make the sparkly skin look stupid or silly.

  • The bad guys. They rocked so hard.

  • The scenes where Bella finds out Edward's a vampire, the hospital scene after James attacks her and the prom scene. Even though they were a bit different from the book they still rocked on their own.

Stuff that bothered me? There aren't a lot but still...

  • There was no meadow scene. Okay, scratch that, there was just no meadow. The stuff that happened during the meadow scene instead happened in the forest but they made it really intense and stuff so it doesn't really bother me that much.

  • The movie seemed a bit too fast. But what to expect when the book is 500-pages long and you're making just a two hour movie? Although you might feel like, "Oh man, they're so making this look too fast that even I can't understand it!", I swear, the ending will sooo make it up in the end. The transitions could've been improved too.

  • Alice's past. It wasn't mentioned in the movie at all. This kinda made me sad, haha. Also, the hotel scene were Alice and Jasper talk to Bella, it didn't really happen.

  • Not enough Cullen. Enough said.

  • It was still a rocking movie though! I'm definitely watching it again! The positives outnumber the negatives by a lot. My advice is that treat this as the Twilight Movie, not Twilight the book the movie. If that makes sense to you, lol.

    home sweet home
    I'm back hoooooooome!

I meant, my original home: Philippines. Visiting relatives and all that.

Actually, my flight was yesterday but I stayed overnight Manila City (capital of the country) because my domestic flight to my hometown was the next day.

If anyone of you ever go to Manila, you'll be shocked at how freaking cheap every single thing is. You can buy a full meal at probably $2 or less. And taxi fares cost about $3.

Btw, thanks to Huiting, Sharon and Dorna for wishing me a good trip. I wasn't able to reply because I switched off my phone and when I received the sms I was already in Manila.

Well, the trip was smooth but I suffered temporary hearing loss. You know the higher yo get, the more painful it is for my ear? Yikes.

Oh, and the city is FILLED with billboards. From clothing shops, ketchup, movies, new local TV series to magazines. Oh, and I saw three Twilight billboards. Haha...

That's quite a lot, considering that it was the only billboard that appeared more than once.

But my aunt said that despo people use the billboards as... um, devices for suicide. They climb the billbboards (which is really, really high, I tell you. About 4-6 storeys tall) and then they... um, jump.

But I admire their strength though. It takes a lot to climb just one.

Btw, I signed up for Facebook. I find it weird, me signing up for Facebook. Just, weird.

    And watch this.

THE AMERICANS ARE PROBABLY HAVING SO MUCH DAMN FUN WATCHING THE TWILIGHT MOVIE.

    END OF POST.

I've been lacking sleep due to the cries of my 14-month old nephew who, besides being really cute, is really loud too.

Well, at least he has his cuteness to make up for it. So my family has been busy showing my relatives all over Singapore. So far, we've gone to Orchard and Vivo City and we'll be going to the Zoo tomorrow and to Sentosa on Friday. Then on Sunday, me and my brother will join them on the ride back to the Philippines. Then we'll come back next year, 3 January.

Btw, I've told some people that I've heard Zac Efron was jealous of Robert Pattinson because Twilight has been getting so much hype. I think this is just freakin' hilarious! Though it did kind of shock me that Zac and Rob are practically the same age, Zac's just so... KIDDY. Ew. Rob wins.

Perez Hilton (of total glitzy paparazzi fame) has a poll on his website. Vote for Rob or else!!

You know what, I saw the Twilight posters at Dhoby Ghaut MRT! When you go by the purple line to the red line or vice-versa! I was squealing like an idiot when I first saw them! Mwahaha!

I can't wait to see the white tigers tomorrow. I know they killed that cleaner guy but I love white tigers. They're pretty.

By the way, that LG phone that I wanted? I went to the LG store in Vivo yesterday and the saleslady said that most shops in Singapore don't have the pink version anymore cos it was sold out. *CRIES*

Since the movie is just a few days away from being released (whoo!) in America (boo!), thought I'd share something hella funny.

    Ryan Seacrest introducing Twilight.

Soooo, how are the holidays for ya'll? I've been bored through and through. I guess that's expected, since I've really nothing to do. Well, except hunt for more Twilight stuff. Ohoho!

I've been hunting for interviews, new pics and whatever. Yeah, I'm freakin' obsessed. I even talked to Emmanuel and Ashiqin about it. Well, technically Emmanuel's never read the books, he just likes the songs. But I never knew Ashiqin read them! We were having a MSN conversation last night about it and kept typing "OMG" every other line! LOL.

Btw, I think I want this phone.

    The LG KS-360

Buuuut. I don't have money. And my contract isn't going to end till March. =______=

But it's so cute, right?! It comes in Silver, Red and Blue too but I love the pink one. It's so cute.

And it looks like a sidekick! And the QWERTY keyboard! I'll be like owning a blackberry, or even a SideKick! Want!

    Hehe.

    Bored.

    I hate that word.

So, I'm blogging. Because I'm bored.

Haven't been doing much lately except play. My poor Nintendo DS gets so over-worked that I practically charge it everyday now. Btw, it's this game's fault:

The World Ends With You. Weird name, awesome gameplay.

I'm so addicted that I keep playing again and again even after I completed the main story. I love that Joshua kid! The songs are freakin' awesome too. I want the soundtrack!

This is called "Three Minutes Clapping", one of my favourites in the game.

There's a lot more of the songs over at YouTube so I suggest you check them out, too.

Speaking of soundtracks, I want the Twilight movie soundtrack, dammit! Is it available here yet?! I WANT IT!!!!!!!!

    Speaking of Twilight...

These are so awesome, aren't they?! *Swoons*

    Kellan Lutz (Emmett) shirtless! Whoots!

    (Got them from edwardandbella.com)

And Barack Obama won the American Presidential Election. Whoo! Finally the president doesn't have to look like some overstuffed, balding old guy! Hehe. I'm glad he won. People were like "He doesn't come from a good military family like John McCain!". And I was like, who cares abolut military families?! Wouldn't that mean that the children would probably be all about guns, war and "let's solve this with violence" like Bush? I mean, he made guns legal in America. There would be a lot less homicides and death if that weren't so. And this means that Sarah Palin won't be vice-president! Whoo!

I hate her. Even Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend hates her. You know that she and Bush says there's no such thing as Global Warming?

Woah, I'm so bored that I'm talking about American Politics...

    ZOMG.

    ZOMG.

    ZOMG.

This is Bella's Lullaby, people. *Swoon*

Yeah, this is the official one. Not the "River Flows in You" by Yiruma (whom, I must admit, has very nice piano compositions. And I'm not that into classical music either).

So what do you think? Btw, this is the orchestral version. Not the Piano-Only version. I think it's just as nice as River Flows, yeah?

    :D

And how awesome is it that they included Linkin Park and Muse in the soundtrack?! I *heart* both of these bands. But I sort of wanted Time is Running Out in the soundtrack...

And there's the Gossip Girl soundtrack too which, interestingly, is named OMFGG...

Which stands for Original Music From Gossip Girl.

I laughed out loud when I heard the title...

    Back from camp.

Nice, isn't it? That's the view of an almost sunset over at Pulau Semakau, where we ad our GB fun camp.

Okay, so the photo might not be so good quality. It was just taken from my phone.

The camp is only two-days long but it was still fun. The first day, we just basically toured the island during the afternoon then we had barbecue at night. After eating, we played Taboo with the BB boys and then tried to look fireflies.

There weren't that many but it's not like you can find them here in the main land, right?

But it was so freakin' cold when we were sleeping though. I woke up like every hour, shivering. But the BB boys were really unlucky since they had to sleep outdoors, in tents.

But then at night, there was a thunderstorm.

So yeah, they all got wet.

This morning we had to make breakfast so we the sec 3s made pancakes and the sec 2s made sandwiches. I thought we were screwed, since we didn't bring enough bread but brought just too much vegetables! We had to feed the BB boys too so we were all scared that we wouldn't have anything to eat for breakfast. Turns out that the sec 3s prepared too many pancakes and in the end there were still a lot of food left even if we were already full!

Too bad our hiking plans had to be cancelled because of the rain. And because they found hornets in the forest. Yikes.

But it was still fun~ We bonded a lot during this camp and learned a great lesson in improvisation and team work :D
